Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation

About the role

The Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation supports the Director in overseeing the resort’s IT operations, ensuring all critical systems run smoothly 24/7 and that guests and staff receive reliable technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous availability of Front Office PMS, Call Accounting, and Food & Beverage POS systems.
• Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to enforce maintenance agreements and manage system upgrades.
• Develop user procedures, conduct departmental training, and enforce security policies in line with corporate standards.
• Maintain accurate records of system issues, backup schedules, and procurement lists for IT supplies.
• Support electronic communications, including email and internet access, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of IT experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a luxury resort or hotel.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all management levels and assist guests with technical issues.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems and server hardware.
• Opera PMS and Micros Simphony POS knowledge.
• Networking equipment, cabling, and data communications protocols.
• Understanding of PCI DSS and IT security best practices.
