Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy, performance and governance of a diversified insurance and investment organization. The CFO will sit on the executive leadership team, advising the CEO/President and Board on capital management, investment strategy and enterprise value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s overall financial strategy, translating corporate goals into detailed financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Lead financial decision‑making across insurance, investment and corporate operations while establishing strong governance and accountability.
• Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and create executive dashboards with key performance indicators.
• Manage insurance finance, including premiums, claims, reserves, underwriting performance and related financial metrics.
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, claims and risk teams to assess financial performance and emerging exposures.
• Provide financial oversight of the investment portfolio, collaborating with the CIO and Investment Committee on strategy, performance and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Monitor capital efficiency, liquidity, solvency and regulatory reporting, supporting corporate development initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably within insurance and investment businesses.
• Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategy and delivering enterprise value.
• Strong commercial and investment acumen with the ability to advise CEOs and Boards.
• Deep understanding of regulated financial‑services environments and related reporting requirements.
• Excellent strategic thinking and ability to drive profitability, efficiency and shareholder returns.
