Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO)

About the role

The Group Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial strategy, performance, and governance of a diversified Insurance & Investments Group. Reporting to the Group CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders and ensure disciplined capital allocation and long‑term shareholder value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group’s overall financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, President, Board and Executive Committee.
• Establish Group‑wide financial policies, controls, performance frameworks and governance across subsidiaries and joint ventures.
• Oversee the Group’s P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capital position and drive sustainable earnings growth.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and financial scenario analysis.
• Monitor financial performance of insurance businesses, including premiums, claims, reserves and underwriting results.
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, claims and risk functions to assess financial exposures.
• Provide financial oversight for investment and asset‑management activities, including capital allocation and performance measurement.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience in insurance, investment management, asset management or related financial services.
• Proven track record of managing finance for complex, multi‑entity organizations.
• Strong understanding of regulated financial institutions, capital markets and corporate finance.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to CEOs, Boards and investment committees.
• Demonstrated experience in driving profitability, balance‑sheet resilience and shareholder value creation.
