Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee all finance functions, provide accurate insight, and ensure strong governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function, translate business objectives into financial plans and performance targets, and support strategic decision‑making.
• Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning, and develop financial models, scenario analysis, and management reports.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accurate management accounts, consolidated statements and statutory disclosures.
• Direct financial reporting and analysis for insurance operations, monitoring premiums, claims, reserves, underwriting performance and related ratios.
• Supervise accounting and reporting for investment portfolios, tracking income, gains/losses, valuation and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor cash flows, liquidity, banking relationships and treasury activities, including interest‑rate, FX and liquidity exposures.
• Support capital planning, balance‑sheet management and solvency monitoring in collaboration with the CFO.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in insurance, investment or similar financial services environments.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication skills to work closely with senior leadership, actuarial, risk, underwriting and investment teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory reporting, treasury management and capital/solvency requirements.
