Graduate Project Engineer

About the role

Join Aecon’s Civil East sector as a Graduate Project Engineer and work alongside experienced professionals to support project scheduling, cost control, and quality compliance on complex infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in efficient scheduling of work crews and perform site previews and inspections.
• Manage inventory of specialty tools, materials, and equipment, including procurement and certification.
• Track weekly equipment utilization, worker training matrices, and safety documentation from subcontractors.
• Support budget understanding, cost reporting, and revenue forecasting at the project level.
• Perform time entry, travel booking, and weekly scheduling for field personnel.
• Generate and analyze data reports to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational abilities and adaptability to flexible schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with SharePoint.
