Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation

About the role

The Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation supports the Director in leading the IT operations of the Four Seasons resort in Anguilla, ensuring all computer systems and data communications run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 24/7 availability of critical systems such as the Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting, and Food & Beverage POS.
• Provide support for back‑office, sales & catering, and HR applications.
• Act as liaison with hardware and software suppliers to enforce maintenance agreements.
• Develop user procedures, hardware familiarisation, and coordinate system upgrades with the Hotel Systems Manager and Corporate MIS.
• Assist departments with tailored computer training and ensure system security aligns with corporate policy.
• Maintain accurate records of system files, issues, and service requirements.
• Create and manage backup procedures to protect data per corporate and local policies.
• Support electronic mail and internet access while ensuring compliance with corporate standards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of IT experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a luxury resort or hotel.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all management levels and assist guests with technical issues.
• Commitment to follow local and corporate policies related to computer systems and telecommunications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Opera PMS and Micros Simphony POS (desirable).
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems, PC and server hardware.
• Understanding of networking equipment, cabling, data communications protocols, and backup procedures.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices, cybersecurity principles, and PCI DSS compliance.
