Restaurant Chef - Asian Cuisine Specialist

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is looking for a Restaurant Chef with a specialty in Asian cuisine to lead culinary operations and support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. The role oversees the daily operations of the Sunset Lounge Asian Specialty kitchen, develops team members and drives long-term growth, quality and profitability across the culinary department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop culinary team members through hiring, training and performance management
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, keeping food quality, preparation and presentation consistent
• Collaborate on menu planning and development to maintain high culinary standards
• Manage labour and operational expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing and inventory control
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety and regulatory standards
• Resolve guest concerns and maintain a high level of service and professionalism
• Partner with cross-functional teams and hold menu tastings and pre-meal meetings to train staff
• Monitor food quality, portion control and supplier standards, and respond quickly to operational, guest or emergency situations

Required profile

• College degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management or equivalent work experience
• 2-3 years of international culinary experience, formal training and a deep understanding of multiple Asian cultures and cooking traditions
• 2-3 years as a Restaurant Chef or Senior Sous Chef delivering authentic, innovative Asian cuisine in a sophisticated dining program
• Extensive international experience with hands-on leadership in diverse Asian culinary settings and high-volume kitchens
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with solid business acumen in budgeting, cost control and operational management
