Banquet Server

About the role

The Server is an integral part of the guest experience at Four Seasons Anguilla, a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort on the island's northwest shore. The role takes orders from guests, makes insightful recommendations and times service so that every order is completed exactly as requested, with quality checks throughout.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience, working with a team of servers.
• Create memorable experiences and demonstrate the finer touches of luxury service.
• Describe food and beverage menu items, explaining their origin, taste and preparation methods.
• Communicate guest orders, including special needs or requests, to the kitchen via the hotel's point-of-sales system and coordinate food timings.
• Check completed kitchen orders against the original order and transport items to the table in a timely manner to protect food quality.
• Break down, clean and set up tables, buffets and food stations.
• Manage several tables at once, be flexible with single diners or large groups, and ensure the timing and sequence of orders match guest preferences.

Required profile

• Hospitality spirit and a friendly, calm demeanour.
• Previous experience in food and beverage roles; employment experience in luxury hotels is considered an asset.
• Ability to handle multiple tables and adapt to different group sizes.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with a point-of-sales system for taking orders.

Schedule and hours: successful candidates are hired as casual part-time employees and are expected to work day and night shifts, holidays and/or weekends.
